GFSI Food Safety Conference 2020

The 2020 GFSI Food Safety Conference runs from 25-28 February 2020 in Seattle with many of the IIOA members playing an active role in the conference. With 1200 delegates from 53 different countries, the conference is an excellent opportunity to show the role accredited certification plays in food safety as well as understanding the key issues and trends in the delivery of food safety.

Specific activity from IIOA members during the conference includes:

SGS running a special session entitled, ‘Alternative Foods – A Safe, Sustainable & Nutritious Future?’ on 27 February at 8am. SGS are also a Diamond Sponsor of the Conference and can be seen in the exhibition space.

DNV GL Business Assurance Chief Executive and IIOA Board member Luca Crisciotti is giving a Tech Talk on, ‘DNV GL – Building Consumer Trust in a Digital World also on 27 February, at 11am. DNV GL are also a premium exhibitor.

SAI Global are hosting a Tech Talk on 27 February at 1:35pm, ‘Let’s talk about the biggest asset in the room: your brand’, as well as being a premium exhibitor.

Lloyd’s Register have a Tech Talk, ‘Improvement through Insight – Using real-time technology to safeguard your business.’ The Tech Talk is on 27 February at 1:35pm. Lloyd’s Register can be seen in the exhibition space as a premium exhibitor

In addition, BSI, Bureau Veritas and Intertek are also exhibiting at the GFSI Food Safety Conference 2020.

Given the Conference as a hub of key people in Food Safety, with IIOA members delivering a whole range of food certification and assurance services including the GFSI endorsed schemes and ISO 22000, the IIOA Board are meeting in Seattle. IIOA are delighted to have GFSI join part of this meeting, looking at how the two organisations can continue to work closer together.
