SGS posts Q1 2026 results

IIOA member SGS has posted its 2026 Q1 results, with revenue at 1,747m CHF, up 3.4%, organic growth of 5.3%, but a detrimental -8.3% foreign exchange impact.
Within the overall SGS results, Business Assurance had organic growth of 7.4%, actual 3.9%, with a detrimental -9.2% foreign currency impact. SGS attributed the Business Assurance performance to the following:
- ‘Sustainability recorded double-digit growth, driven by greenhouse gas emission verification and supply chain services
- Digital Trust assurance also saw double-digit growth
- Certification posted solid organic growth led by medical devices.’
Across SGS overall, regionally, the performances by region for organic growth were:
- Asia Pacific 8.9%
- Europe 2.4%
- North America 1.4%
- Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa 2.0%
- Latin America 8.5%.
As regards the Outlook for 2026, SGS have kept this as previously reported, at 5-7% organic sales growth, ‘despite the situation in the Middle East’.
