SGS First Half 2026 results

IIOA member SGS reports its first half 2026 results with revenue to 3,683m CHF, up 7.6%, with organic growth of 5.6%.

By region organic growth was:

• Asia Pacific +9.9%
• Latin America 351 +9.0%
• North America 539 +6.1%
• Europe 964 +2.3%
• Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa 357 -2.8%.

SGS report that they are projected to exceed their 2027 targets, stating this is due to:

‘Digital Trust and Sustainability continued to deliver excellent performance in the first half of 2026, confirming their role as core value drivers of the Group. In the first half of 2026:

• Digital Trust delivered total growth of 38.0%, driven by strong organic momentum reinforced by the excellent performance of bolt-on acquisitions.
• IMPACT NOW for Sustainability delivered total growth of 17.7%, driven by renewable energy and greenhouse gas verification services, environmental and PFAS testing, rising demand for circularity-related services, including testing and certification of recycled materials, as well as continued momentum in ESG audits across all regions.’

The SGS Interim Report notes for Business Assurance:

‘Business Assurance recorded an excellent 7.3% organic growth and an improved adjusted operating income margin of 18.9%, led by Certification, Digital Trust and Sustainability.
• Certification confirmed the strong momentum and delivered high single-digit organic growth, led by medical devices and food.
• Double-digit organic growth in Digital Trust was fueled by demand for information security, cybersecurity and AI assurance.
• Double-digit organic growth in Sustainability was driven by greenhouse gas emissions verification and strong demand in forestry and circularity certification.
• Expansion of high-value platforms continued through targeted bolt-on acquisitions in Digital Trust and Sustainability.
