SGS 2025 Full Year results

IIOA member SGS posts its 2025 full year results with a headline turnover of CHF 6945 million, ‘a strong organic growth of 5.6%’.

SGS highlights the significant contribution of sustainability and digital trust service to their 2025 results, stating, ‘Sustainability and Digital Trust continued to show strong momentum, with their 2025 sales of at least CHF 1 billion and CHF 350 million, respectively.
• Sustainability was driven by renewable energy and greenhouse gas verification services, PFAS testing, rising demand for circularity-related services, including recycled-materials testing and certification, as well as continued momentum in ESG audits across all regions.
• Digital Trust included high-assurance cybersecurity evaluations, selective system integration acquisitions, expansion in data and AI t and continued growth in Digital Trust audit and certification services.’

Within the overall results, Business Assurance delivered 4.2% organic growth to 780m CHF, ‘driven by Sustainability, Food and Medical Devices certification and Digital Trust.’

Comments on Business Assurance expand this further:

• ‘Continued double-digit growth in Sustainability, driven by strong demand for greenhouse gas emissions verification and supply chain audits
• Food and Medical Devices certification maintained double-digit growth, mainly driven by tightening regulatory requirements
• Strong double-digit growth in Digital Trust led by information security certification and robust performance of recently acquired businesses
• Quality management systems was impacted by a high comparable from a post certification year. Consulting also remained soft’.

By region, organic growth was highest in Latin America (13.6%), followed by Asia Pacific (7.7%), East Europe Middle East & Africa (5.3%), North America (3.9%) and Europe (2.4%). By turnover, Europe remains the largest region at 2027m CHF.

SGS’ outlook for 2026 is for 5% to 7% organic sales growth .
