IAF/ILAC Joint Annual Meetings

The 2025 Joint IAF/ILAC Annual Meetings see the two organisations working together for the final time before the creation of the new merged body – Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated.

This crucial time for accredited conformity assessment will see the two organisations working on two fundamental sets of issues: the key strategic & operational matters and setting up for Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated to manage these in the future.

This forward-looking looking agenda will include a series of workshops, including:

IAF Technical Committee advances and experiences on artificial intelligence and conformity assessment
IAF/ILAC stakeholders in the new body – increasing the collaborative impact
IAF/ILAC Joint Working Group Communications launching Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated
IAF Sustainability Working Group – sustainability in the new body: future priorities, future involvement, future organization
IAF/ILAC Joint Executive Committee strategic planning workshop.

IIOA will be active across all these workshops, including leading a number of the sessions within them, ensuring the views of the marketplace – especially the customers of assurance bodies – are a vital consideration.

As well as the strategic issues being addressed in the workshops, a range of working groups will discuss key issues areas including:

digital transformation
management systems certification
forests
medical devices
validation and verification
product, processes and services
food
persons certification.

As the second key issue for the Joint Annual Meetings, working towards the creation of Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated will be a key part of the meetings. As well as being developed in some of the above workshops, working towards the creation of the new body will be dealt with in a range of leadership meetings which IIOA are involved in, including:

IAF, Joint IAF/ILAC and Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated general assemblies
IAF Executive Committee
Joint IAF/ILAC Executive Committee
IAF/ILAC Steering Committee for Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated project.
