BSI posts 2018 results
April 17, 2019
IIOA member BSI has posted its 2018 results, including a headline revenue increase of 8% to £511.8m.
Organic revenue rose 10%, with currency having a -2% impact.
Within these results, Assurance Services grew 5% and systems certification was up 7% (constant currency). Of note within the systems certification performance was, ‘In mid-September 2018, the three-year window for companies to transition to the new version of our two major standards, ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ended. We successfully completed the transition of all our clients globally who wanted to upgrade to the new versions within the deadline set by ISO. Our approach permitted our clients to enjoy sooner the benefits of these new versions, as well as their variants in the Automotive and Aerospace industries, thus improving their performance and resilience. We, and our competitors, have benefited in the past three years from the additional days’ business that each transition has required. This will not repeat in 2019 and beyond.’
